Recombinant mouse LBP

Description

Characteristic

LBP is produced from mouse LBP transfected CHO-cells in serum free medium. Before transfection the complete mouse LBP cDNA was amplified by PCR and cloned into expression vector p-POL-DHFR.

mLBP-content

0.5mg/ml phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.2 (determined by mouse-LBP-ELISA with defined standard), for reconstitution add 20 µl water/tube.

Purification

Purified by his-tag by means of metal affinity purification with Talon and controlled by SDS page.
Attention: His-tag at the C-terminal end of the LBP has no protease site and can't be spitted off.

Endotoxin content

below 0.1 ng/ml after heating 5', 75°C (LAL-test, Chromogenix)

Special note

Up to 2 µg/ml LBP mediates binding of FITC-LPS (0.5 µg/ml) to CD14+CHO transfectants (2 x 106/ml)

Quantity

10 µg, lyophilized

Storage

long time storage at -80°C

Attention!

The LBP will be precipitated by rapid changes of pH or temperature.
Best working temperature is ice bath.
