Monoclonal antibody to human CD14 - biG 4

Description

Category

Mouse monoclonal antibody protein G purified lyophilized

Reconstitution

For reconstitution add 100 µl distilled water

Isotype

IgG1

Binding epitope

aa 33-44

Antigen

Monocytes of human and different animals and soluble human CD14

Special note

biG 4 represents an excellent marker for CD14. The CD14 glycoprotein, gp 55, is present on most monocytic and macrophages like cell types: monocytes, macrophages, Kupffer cells, pleural phagocytic cells and dendritic reticular cells. CD14 is also observed on granulocytes and activated or transformed B-cells. Furthermore CD14 is present in a soluble form in human serum, urine and other body fluids. The CD14 molecule has been reported to be a receptor for Endotoxin.

Characteristic

no significant inhibition of LPS-binding to human CD14 transfected CHO cells

Application

Suitable for immunostaining of CD14positive cells, ELISA, CD14 inhibition studies
Not useful for Western Blot

Storage

Long time storage at –20°C or –80°C

Quantity

100 µg in PBS without NaN3 or other stabilisation before lyophilisation

IgG-content 1 mg/ml PBS
